Amana appliances are guaranteed by the manufacturer provided they are used for domestic purposes; the only exception being those item(s) rated by the manufacturers for commercial purposes. Domestic product failure caused by commercial use voids the warranty.
Amana products sold on the international market will be manufactured with a limited one (1) year warranty on parts starting from the date of purchase (Not Installation). Parts are guaranteed at the factory and you are therefore responsible for paying the freight, duty and labour for the installation of the replacement parts. The warranty is for parts and not the replacement of the item(s) provided the appliance was purchased from Taylor Industries Limited. However should the appliance fail within the first three (3) months there are no charges.
Should a major appliance be incorrectly installed or connected by others resulting in damage, it will not be covered by the warranty. Damages caused by brown outs, surges, or outages from BEC, standby generators, lightning, fire, flooding or other external forces are, likewise, not covered by the warranty.
As almost all high end appliances now contain one or more electronic control/computer boards, we highly recommend the purchase and installation of a good quality surge suppression device at the time of the appliance installation. Also, some components such as push buttons are extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuations as well as extreme pressure.
Customers should be aware that we do not stock parts for special order units. Customers will be responsible for all replacement parts and installation charges, including freight and duty, for all repairs done outside of the warranty period.
Family Island customers should be aware that the warranty covers parts only and does not allow for freight charges, air fares, transport and accommodations for service men traveling to the islands to carry out installations or repairs.
Note: Gas Ranges
Please be advised that all gas ranges require conversion from Natural to L P gas. These changes can be done in-house by Taylor Industries Limited before delivery at the customer's request and are free of charge.
After installation some adjustments are required to the burners and air orifices. These adjustments can only be done after installation and should be carried out by either the Taylor Industries Service Department during the installation or by a qualified (licensed) LP gas company or LP gas technician of the customer’s choice.
Taylor Industries will not be responsible for installations carried out by unqualified persons resulting in the stove malfunctioning.
